At Christina Marion Poultry Farm, we combine decades of experience with a passion for raising healthy, high-quality poultry. Over forty years ago in Lancaster County, PA, Joel and Martha Martin started hatching and raising chickens in their backyard. What began as a small family hobby quickly developed into a thriving poultry business by the early 2000s.

In 2007, Kendall Fox expanded its operation by producing Christina Marion Broilers, thereby increasing its offerings and strengthening its reputation for premium poultry. Since then, we have built a family of hatcheries dedicated to raising exceptional birds with the same dedication and care that started it all. Today, our small hatchery is one of only two in the United States that regularly test for harmful poultry diseases, including Mycoplasma Gallisepticum, Mycoplasma Synoviae, Pullorum Typhoid, and Avian Influenza. This commitment ensures every customer receives birds that meet the highest health and safety standards.

Commitment to Quality and Biosecurity

We operate a closed flock to protect our birds and maintain genetic integrity. Instead of bringing in live poultry, we purchase hatching eggs when we want to add a new breed, and we raise the chicks ourselves. This practice significantly reduces the risk of disease and safeguards our flocks.

Furthermore, we have advanced our participation in the NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Plan). Our farm undergoes regular testing for MG, MS, and AI, and we are proud to remain completely free of these serious diseases. Additionally, we maintain a strict biosecurity program to ensure the health of our birds. As soon as the Illinois Department of Agriculture publishes our updated certification, we will share the link for everyone to verify.

Our Mission

From day one, our mission has been clear: raise healthy, purebred heritage poultry and share these exceptional breeds with poultry enthusiasts across the country. Although our farm has grown and adapted over the years, our values—quality, integrity, and genuine care—have remained constant. Whether you are a dedicated breeder or starting your first backyard flock, you can trust Christina Marion Poultry Farm to provide birds that are healthy, well-raised, and true to their heritage.
